Teochew Association

Information

The Penang Teochew Association’s Han Jiang Ancestral Temple stands as a representation of the Teochew architecture, culture, tradition and passion. Originally built in 1870, the temple underwent an extensive restoration that amounted to RM 1.5 million. This ultimately led to it receiving the Unesco Asia-Pacific Heritage Conservation award in 2006. The temple is open to visitors from 9a.m. – 6p.m. daily.
