16 Mar Flower Garland Makers

Information
Flower Garland Maker
The art of traditional garland making is a skill that was brought to Penang by Indian immigrants, and is an intrinsic part of Hinduism. These garlands and fresh flowers are offered at temple shrines and households altars. The flowers commonly used to make these garlands include jasmine, marigolds, dahlias and roses. These flowers are chosen because of their sweet fragrance and colour, and are sourced from flower farms on Penang Hill and Cameron Highlands.
