Jothee Printers
Established in 1935, Jothee is one of Penang’s oldest printing presses and is the first presses in Peangn to produce locally made diaries and handmade accounts ledgers. Founded by S. Letchumanasamy who arrived in Penang as a year 10 student from India, he worked at odd jobs from morning till night to support his family. It was at the age of 19 that the young man eventually saved enough money to open a printing press. It was the first presses in Penang to Today, the business is run by the founder’s son Shanmuganathan.
