The Heritage Celebrations is a yearly celebration to commemorate the inscription of George Town as a UNESCO World Heritage Site on 7 July 2008. It celebrates the living heritage of George Town – its multicultural practices, traditional food, arts and crafts, as well as cultural festivities and arts events that highlight history and local cultural pride, and always takes place within the historic streets of George Town.

This year’s Heritage Celebrations 2016 will take place on July 7 to 9. It will feature the traditional sports and games of our local communities in George Town! Stay tuned for more info.
