35 years ago, Dato’ Tay Mo-Leong led a group of Penang watercolour artists and formed the Penang Water Colour Society. Today the group led by Khoo Cheang Jin (current president of The Penang Water Colour Society), the society have grown to more than 90 members. In celebration of their 35th annivesary, The Penang Water Colour Society is having their exhibition in the Penang State Art Gallery. Showcasing works from all members including 10 renowned overseas watercolour artists, in hopes that this form of exchange will further promote the use of watercolour as a whole.
